Our team at Church of the Resurrection is comprised of men and women who love, care and pray for every single person in the church. If you have questions for any of us, feel free to reach out by phone or email.
Ron's friends call him Ronnie. He has felt a strong call from Christ to serve his church since he was 16 years old. He turned down the opportunity to play college football to receive training for ministry at Criswell College in Dallas, TX, from which he received a BA in biblical studies and MA in pastoral ministry. Ron and Emily were married in 2003 and have served churches in Texas, Ohio, and now, Arvada, CO. Ronnie loves being dad to their three children: William, Emmelia, and Althea. In his spare time, Ronnie loves collecting pipes and tobaccos, following college football, and helping friends with their Apple products. Ronnie's primary responsibilities at the Church of the Resurrection are to devote himself to the ministry of the word (Acts 6:2), preside over the communion table, and shepherd God's flock (1 Peter 5:2). Ronnie was ordained to the Diaconate in 2015, and the sacred order of Priests in 2016.
Emily has served the church since she was a newly baptized teenager. After high school, she left her plans to pursue a career in classical ballet to study the Bible at Criswell College in Dallas, TX, where she and Ronnie met and eventually married. She has a B.A. from Criswell College, M.Div. from George W. Truett Theological Seminary, and Ph.D. in theology from the University of Dayton. Her first book, Quivering Families: The American Quiverfull Movement and Evangelical Theology of the Family, will be published by Fortress Press in May 2018. Emily's work has also appeared in Ecclesial Practices, New Blackfriars, and an edited volume of essays, Angels on Earth: Mothering, Religion, and Spirituality (Demeter Press, 2016). In addition to her work as a theologian, Emily loves being mom to their three children. She also loves coffee, cooking, and reading short stories. Emily's primary responsibilities at Church of the Resurrection are to preach regularly and oversee catechesis and spiritual formation. Emily was ordained to the Diaconate in 2017. You can find out more about her at her website.
Our leadership team is comprised of Brad, Regina, Melissa, and Martin. Together with Ron and Emily they assist in the overall vision, mission, and execution of Church of the Resurrection.
